Summer Afternoon in the Churchyard
Summer Plant Sale, Tea, Quiz and Evensong at Tresham Church (with Alderley)
Last year, on a beautiful day, we held a very enjoyable tea and quiz in our churchyard, before a lovely evening service which included a scratch choir from our two villages.
This year, on Sunday June 21stfrom 3.30pm we are adding another sociable activity to the mix, in the form of a Plant Stall. If successful, we will try to make it an annual event, so we can all enjoy each other’s plants in our own gardens, and give any of our spares a good home. At the end, there will be what I know will be a very special evensong service, with music of concert standard from the choir David has been putting together.
We do hope you will be able to come. Our little church is for us all, open each day, and holding a history of the village within its walls and its grounds. Using it to get together for fun as well as for services gives us the chance to enjoy the social side of village life, as well as the spiritual side of our natures, if we so wish.
