Tresham Harvest Festival and Christmas Carols 2016
Dear Everyone,
Harvest celebrations will be this Sunday, October 2nd, at 11 am in the church. It would be lovely to have lots of people there to celebrate the results of the work of all the people who grow our food. We are surrounded by three beautiful farms with crops, cows and sheep, and many of us grow at least a little of our own food, so there is much local produce to celebrate, as well as the world’s harvest for everyone. Children are extremely welcome!
If you would like to bring donations for the Wotton Food Bank, we will arrange delivery. Any food should be able to be stored (eg dry or tinned, not fresh); you could also or instead make a cash contribution, which we will pass on to the Food Bank for the purchase of things they need which are not usually donated. This will be separate from the usual church collection.
David’s 40th Christmas Carol service will be held on Sunday December 18th at 11 a.m. Forty years on – what a wonderful contribution these services have been to the village! So this year it will be particularly special, and for those of you who have not been before, that is really saying something. Arrive early….
Best wishes
Sue
