A Tresham resident has recently been the victim of rogue traders. These people turned up uninvited and offered to do some tree clearance work. Having quoted a figure beforehand, they then demanded, and were given, a much larger sum on completion. They left the trees in a very untidy state and didn’t take the pruned branches away with them. In addition they did the work without using the proper safety gear.

Trading Standards have been contacted via the CAB but are unable to take any action without an address for the firm. (Their card only gives telephone numbers.) The incident has been reported to the police who have asked that if anyone is approached by EYELINE TREE CARE they should ring 101 (the police non-emergency number) immediately and quote incident 285 of 18.8.16.   If you can get an address for the firm and/or a vehicle registration, this would be extremely useful.
