Good evening Tresham,
It is with great regret that myself and Tom have agreed to withdraw my application to licence Inglefest in Tresham this year. It is clear there is mixed opinion from residents on whether the event should take place at the suggested location, for various reasons. It saddens me to think I would be pushing through a licence application where it wasn’t welcome and perceived concern was leading to the stress and discomfort of some residents. Therefore I have chosen not to move Inglefest to Tresham this June.
I have fortunately found another site so the event will still be going ahead. For those of you that were looking forward to getting involved and raising money for the Church, I apologise that proposed activities will no longer be taking place and I thank you all for your support thus far.
As I have done previously, I am very happy to make contributions to good causes in return for stewarding the event. If anyone is interested in helping out on behalf of the Church or other good cause, I would be really happy to have a conversation, the new location is only 15minutes away and roles would include, bar staff, wristband exchange and traffic management. There are many of you who have been very supportive of me and Inglefest so if I can, I would like to give something back.
With more time and notice in the following years, I would still endeavor to engage school children in music and workshops. Due to last minute changes with site location, I feel unprepared to take on this extra project at this moment in time. I hope to come back to this in the future.
With kind regards,
Will Robson

Well well well… another victory for backyard nimibiism sadly another Cotswold village will die as a result of unfounded fear and a small minded minority who have little understanding of the outside world who are only interested in their tiny enclaves rather than the greater good of the wider community and then they sell up and leave after contributing literally zero to the local community.
They should be ashamed of themselves, stifling young talent and the enjoyment of the majority with their sad lttle prejudices
What next? Closing down the gymkana due to the waft of horse fumes? Or maybe (surpringly in the countryside) the aroma of cows??
Welcome to the new world!
Totally agree Nick.
We are with Nick on this. It’s just so sad that this isn’t going to happen. Lorna and I will definitely be going to the festival wherever it is. What a shame our village couldn’t be involved. Thank you Will for trying and good luck.
