Fireworks Night

Fireworks Night

As the nights start drawing in and we begin to feel the chill in the air, we inevitably start thinking about our fireworks evening which is just three weeks away on Friday 6th November. Despite the ongoing situation regarding Covid-19, we can go ahead providing the appropriate restrictions are adhered too. We will not be offering any BBQs or centrally prepared food. Please ‘bring your own’ food and drink. Stay in your groups of 6 people and do not mix! Of course, stay at home and get a view from your garden, if you prefer.

We are as determined as ever to make the Tresham fireworks night as fun and spectacular as we can. Please donate to the firework fund, preferably by using the online payment facility or by dropping cash off to either Simon Ellis at the Old Post Office or to Simon Lee at the Old Plough House.

The plan is to have a smaller, simpler bonfire this year without bales of straw, tyres or diesel. However, this means we can only take woody material – and no rubbish! As before, please leave at the top of the slope starting from Saturday, 31 October.  The bonfire will be constructed on the morning of Friday, 6 November.

These continue to be strange times, so let’s make the Tresham firework night as memorable as ever!

  1. That’s lovely, Simons! Thank you for keeping it going this year.
Meanwhile these lovely autumn colours are like a slow and silent display doing a warm-up for the real thing on Nov 6th,
